Interesting Light in the Rosebuds

Photography is about getting the light right. The right colour and the right balance.

Now there’s something about this picture that I just like, though I am not sure why. I think it is the way the light has highlighted the rosebud and a couple of leaves, without a huge and unmanageable contrast.

No fancy processing here, just levels and crop. Shot with a 70-300 zoom in macro mode.
