La Cité, Carcassonne

These are the old stone walls of the Citadel of Carcassonne. The start of the citadel dates back to the Romans in the 4th century. None of that remains, with the current citadel tracing its origins to the 11th Century.

Photo Notes

this was shot with the little LUMIX TZ100 in high contrast afternoon light. Processed with Snapseed and Photogene4 on iOS.

It looks far better in mono due the high contrasts of the original.
