Nature’s Gift of Red Berries

So it’s autumn and all the autumn colours are showing. A photo club assignment was “Nature’s Gifts”. Taking a walk one lunchtime, with my trusty Canon and “nifty 50” (EF 50mm f/1.8 lens) I spotted these berries lit up by the sun. That in itself was a gift, given the recent rainy weather.

As a gift of nature, I haven’t a clue what the berries are, or whether they are edible, though I am sure that they are a gift to some creature.
