Saturday 27 September 2014 marked the eighth annual exhibition of the Adderbury, Deddington and District Photographic Society at the Institute, Adderbury in Oxford in the UK.
Formed in 2006, this club is unusual in that it is not all about photo competitions as the majority of photographic clubs are. It is a very active group of enthusiastic photographers, getting together regularly to enjoy the pleasure of photography. Members’ skill levels vary considerably, and equipment used varies from mobile phones to full professional equipment. The quality of work produced matches anything available on the major photo websites.
The 2014 exhibition, with entries per member limited to 3, was a record with 118 prints exhibited. Subjects shown varied from travel photos to portraits and excellent wildlife and landscape work. More than one visitor commented on the high quality of work on show, with a few members and visitors commenting on increasingly high quality, year on year.
For anybody who can get there, the exhibition will be repeated at the Deddington market, in nearby Deddington, of course, on 25 October 2014.
My own three entries to the exhibition are on my Artist Websites site.
